Pancakes + CrashSpace = a blast for geeks

We had a blast hanging out with Josh Fraser (a TechStars alum) yesterday. Joined with the breakfast at IHOP was Jeremy Przygode (founder of Impingo), Brendan Miranda (founder of MusicTrainer),  Mosses Arkizian (founder of Monogiggle) and yours truly. The conversations went from PhP programming to ecommerce platform to TechStars to Google and China censorship policy…  Brendan recently applied to the TechStars program and shared with us his quick correspondence with David Cohen.  We all wish Brendan success in getting into the program and with his site.

After the breakfast, we were treated to a “geek-exclusive” tour of CrashSpace LA by Carlyn Maw & Sean Bonner. The place was spacious and equipped with a lot of “goodies” – I am talking about parts (laser, computer, project screen…), and of course comfy couches, office desks and whiteboards. Sean also shared with us about how he successfully runs metroblogging – a site that has now expanded to 50+ cities around the world with content contributed by more than 1000+ volunteer bloggers. If you are in LA, make sure you check out CrashSpace.

And just like that, it was time to take Josh back to LAX to catch his next flight. We all had a blast. If you like to join us for our next meetup, it will be on April 1st for dinner. Make sure you ping Mosses (@monocat) for more information.  Andrew Warner has asked Jason Fried for a signed a copy of his latest book “Rework” as a giveaway prize to a Mixergy fan at that event.

Stay wonderful!
